Cytotam 10 mg Tablet is a nonsteroidal agent which is used in both men and women to treat breast cancer. It is also used in women to prevent breast cancer. This medicine is not recommended for use in pregnant women. It is advised that you discuss all the risks and benefits with your doctor before taking this medicine.
Cytotam 10mg Tablet is not to be taken if you’re pregnant as it could potentially harm the baby. If you have a history of liver disease, cataract, stroke, or high triglycerides, tell your doctor. Your doctor may ask you to undergo mammograms and breast self exams in order to find out if the medicine is not causing harm.

How to use Cytotam Tablet
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Cytotam 10 mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
How Cytotam Tablet works
Cytotam 10 mg Tablet is an a hormone-based medication. It works by binding to oestrogen receptors and blocks the effects of oestrogen (a natural female hormone) in the breast tissue. This slows down the growth and multiplication of breast cancer cells. In addition, it also treats female infertility due to a failure to produce and release eggs (ovulate) properly.
Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. Skip the missed dose if it is almost the time for your next scheduled dose. Do not double the medicine to make up for the missed dose.
Seek emergency medical treatment or contact the doctor in case of an overdose.

Breast-feeding – This medicine is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women due to the potential for adverse effects in the infants. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor before taking this medicine.
Venous thromboembolism – This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a known history of venous thromboembolic events due to an increase in the risk of such events. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor before taking this medicine. Replacement with a suitable alternative might be required based on the clinical condition.
Uterus-Endometrial Cancer – cytotam 10 tab has shown to increase the risk of uterine cancer. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor before taking this medicine. Replacement with a suitable alternative might be required based on the clinical condition.
