How to use Xtane Tablet
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Xtane 25 mg Tablet is to be taken with food.
How Xtane Tablet works
xtane 25mg tablet is an aromatase inhibitor. It works by lowering the amount of estrogen (natural female hormone) produced in the body. This can lower or stop the growth of some breast cancer cells that need estrogen to grow.
Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double your dose to make up for the missed one.
Seek emergency medical treatment or contact the doctor in case of an overdose.
Use Xtane 25 mg Tablet only for the conditions specified by the doctor. Do not take this medicine in larger or smaller amounts than prescribed or share this medicine with others. Report to the doctor all your medical conditions and current medicines including herbs and supplements before starting treatment with this medicine. Report any undesired effects or lack of improvement to the doctor on priority. Do not stop the use of this medicine without consulting your doctor.

Exemestane should only be used in women who have reached menopause and cannot become pregnant. You should confirm your post-menopausal status through hormonal tests (LH, FSH and estradiol levels) before starting exemestane therapy.xtane 25 mg natco should not be co-administered with estrogen-containing medications (such as hormone replacement therapy or birth control pills) as these can interfere with its action.Regular examinations to monitor reductions in bone mineral density and elevations in certain blood tests (AST, ALT, alkaline phosphatase and gamma glutamyl transferase, bilirubin, creatinine) are recommended in women receiving exemestane.
Reduction in bone mineral density (BMD) – This medicine may decrease bone mineral density (BMD). The bone mineral density should be assessed prior to initiating the treatment. Routine monitoring of BMD, appropriate corrective measures, or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required based on the clinical condition.
Vitamin D deficiency – xtane 25 mg tab may cause vitamin D deficiency. The level of 25-hydroxy vitamin D should be assessed prior to initiating the treatment. Routine monitoring of vitamin D levels, appropriate corrective measures, or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required based on the clinical condition.
Co-administration with estrogen containing products – This medicine is not recommended for use along with estrogen containing products since these products may alter the effects of the medicine and vice versa.
