Description

How to use Xtane Tablet

How Xtane Tablet works

xtane 25mg tablet is an aromatase inhibitor. It works by lowering the amount of estrogen (natural female hormone) produced in the body. This can lower or stop the growth of some breast cancer cells that need estrogen to grow.

Missed Dose

Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double your dose to make up for the missed one.

Seek emergency medical treatment or contact the doctor in case of an overdose.

General Instructions

Use Xtane 25 mg Tablet only for the conditions specified by the doctor. Do not take this medicine in larger or smaller amounts than prescribed or share this medicine with others. Precautions:

Exemestane should only be used in women who have reached menopause and cannot become pregnant. Reduction in bone mineral density (BMD) – This medicine may decrease bone mineral density (BMD). The bone mineral density should be assessed prior to initiating the treatment. Routine monitoring of BMD, appropriate corrective measures, or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required based on the clinical condition.

Vitamin D deficiency – xtane 25 mg tab may cause vitamin D deficiency. The level of 25-hydroxy vitamin D should be assessed prior to initiating the treatment. Routine monitoring of vitamin D levels, appropriate corrective measures, or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required based on the clinical condition.

Co-administration with estrogen containing products – This medicine is not recommended for use along with estrogen containing products since these products may alter the effects of the medicine and vice versa.
