It can cause hypoglycemia (low blood sugar level) when used with other antidiabetic medicines, alcohol or if you delay or miss a meal. Always carry some sugary food or fruit juice with you in case you experience hypoglycemic symptoms such as cold sweats, cool pale skin, tremor, and anxious feeling. Your doctor may check your liver function regularly. Inform your doctor if you develop symptoms such as abdominal pain, loss of appetite, or yellowing of the eyes or skin (jaundice).
Hypoglycemia – glizid m 80 mg is not recommended in the patients with hypoglycemia as it increases the risk of lowering of blood glucose levels. Inform the doctor if you experience any symptoms like dizziness, confusion or weakness.
Impaired kidney function – Glizid 80 MG Tablet is not recommended in the patients suffering from a severe kidney imparement.
Impaired liver function – Glizid 80 MG Tablet is not recommended in the patients suffering from a severe liver impairment.
Hemolytic Anemia – Glizid 80 MG Tablet is not recommended in the patients with glucose-6-phosphate (G6PD) deficiency due to the risk of developing hemolytic anemia.
