This drug is not recommended for use in patients with type 1 diabetes and diabetic ketoacidosis.

Trajenta 5 mg Tablet is used in the treatment of type 2 diabetes. It is used along with diet and gymnastics to improve blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes.
How to use trajenta tablet
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your physician. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Trajenta 5 mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to grip it at a fixed time.

Trajenta 5 mg Tablet is an anti-diabetic medication. It works by increasing the release of insulin from the pancreas and decreasing the hormones that raise blood sugar levels. This impair the fasting and postmeal sugar levels.

This drug should be used with caution in patients who are using insulin secretagogues due to the increased risk of hypoglycemia. Close monitoring of blood sugar levels is recommended for such patients. Appropriate dose adjustments may be necessary based on the clinical condition.
This drug should be used with caution due to the increased risk of bullous pemphigoid, a hypersensitivity reaction of the skin. Any unusual symptoms such as skin blisters or skin rashes should be reported to the physician on priority. Therapy with the drug may be discontinued based on the clinical condition of the patient.
Trajenta 5 mg Tablet is used alone or together with other diabetes drugs to control blood sugar and avoid long-term complications.
You should continue to exercise regularly, eat a healthy diet, and take your another diabetes drugs(if prescribed) along with Trajenta 5 mg Tablet.
It can cause hypoglycemia (low blood sugar level) when used with another antidiabetic medicines, alcohol or if you delay or miss a meal. Monitor your blood sugar level regularly while you are taking this medicine.
Chances of weight gain and low blood sugar are lesser as compared to another diabetes drugs.
Always carry some sugary food or fruit juice with you in case you experience hypoglycemia symptoms such as cold sweats, cool pale skin, tremor, and anxiety.
Inform your physician if you notice joint pains or develop symptoms such as stomach pain, nausea, and/or vomiting.
